Boring day today, spent 5 hours finishing my storybook. It was ok but the ending kind of sudden, expected something dramatic to happen..oh well. We were supposed to go for caroling at marina mandarin yesterday but it was suddenly cancelled, so dissapointed. Life is so boring now.. i wish something interesting will happen.. like what? i don't know.. flying to korea next week.. hopefully i can learn and experience something new.

Hi people i'm back from OBS! It simply rocks and i'm already missing ARMSTRONG!
DAY 1
Firstly I was being 'posted' to Armstrong and nobody whom i know well was with me so i was kind of worried at first. I just hoped that i get good groupmates bacause they do play an important role in making the whole camp an enjoyable one. The first day was almost unbearable cause i did not come prepared. I came thinking it was a residential camp at least that's what mr lim said, but when we reach there then we realise its actually mobile. Thats five days outdoor oh no! Right then i feel turning back and head home. Our group of sixteen came from NJC, TPJC and TJC. Let me introduce my wonderful groupmates first. We have grace, feifan, heidi, syida, shida, kahlis, basil, zhirong, jia hao, rahman, syafiq, nabil, natah, indra and naim and not to forget our great instructor daniel. It was supposed to be candy but she was sick, so at first we thought daniel was candy and candy was daniel. Confused? haha. We just pack our bags, pitch our tents and basic stuff, bit of belaying nothing much. Daniel was disappointed in us cause we were always late and still bathing when it was time for lights off, so we all agreed that tomorrow will be better cause its a new day.
DAY 2
We did a high element in pairs, the log thing don't know what its called. It was difficult cause we have to step on and pull our partners up. Its challenging but we did it. Next is the kayaking capsize drill. It was fun la but i lost my hairband. The second time i lost it in a capsize drill. argh nevermind. So we kayaked for a short while to our next campsite. No bathing so we started on our cooking. Maggi mee, i didn't know it was so nice. better than our hard rice the previous day. Soon it was total darkness so we can't do anything. I was looking across the sea which was pasir ris thats what they said and i thought why am i stranded on this island when i could have been watching tv comfortably at home right now.
DAY 3
We woke up at 6 and prepared for our sea expedition. I partnered zhirong from nj, quite a nice guy. This sea expeideition was one of the memorable highlights. We kayaked for six hours before reaching our next site, thank god for the not so choppy sea and great sea exp leasders. It started to rain very heavily till we can't really see anything cause the rain was beating down on our eyes. I just remembered moving my paddle and just don't stop paddling. Soon we reach the beach where we we to stay under the trees to eat our pathetic lunch and all of us are shivering like mad because of the rain. Thank goodness it stopped after lunch. So we continued our journey and reached the next campsite. We get to 'bathe' in the quary, not totally clean but cloest to clean yup. we played monkey and started dunking people..very fun all of us had a great time. Great experience.
DAY 4
The worst day ever. The hiking was damn tiring because of the extremely heavy backpacks we had to carry. It was like 10+ kg. i thought i was going to die but i keep telling myself not to stop and just continue walking.We sang along the way which really boosted our morale. Candy joined us for the hike cause daniel went for physio. We hiked for about seven hours..The sun was really strong so i'm kind of burnt now. There was a bit of rain but doesn't really matter yup. We were so happy to finally reach our next campsite which is camp 2. We were the earliest group to reach cheers to armstrong! So we slack for one hour before starting to pitch our tents. Next memorable activity was nightwalk. SOLO walk. very fun though it was a short one.. the best part was when daniel told us to go down a black hole and crawl all the way to the end. all of us were stunned. its pitch balck inside and we have to feel and crawl at the same time, kind of scary but great experince. We feasted for the last dinner and started our talk cork session. daniel joined us and told us some stories. interesting.
DAY 5
Last day..kind of sad to leave, It felt funny going back to urban lifestyle.. We went for jetty jump and saw something amazing. fishes jumping out of the water, damn cool. really a nice experince the jump..not as scary as i thought. After that we shared our views and head back for singapore. I went for choir after i came home and bathe cause i feel so guilty missing so many practices. i'm so tired now..and my legs and arms are full of mosquitoes and sandflies bites. jiahao got 101 bites can you believe it? evil mosquitoes. Its really a great journey and i've learnt pretty much. Though i complain a lot i never regretted going for this camp. armstrong simply rocks and the friendships made simply makes all the mosquitoes bite worthwhile. thats how cool it is. OBS is great, ppl you should go for it if you have a chance =D no regrets and fun guranteed.

looks like i've neglected my blog, lazy to blog nowadays. Finally PW is over, felt so relieve.. It was a long journey but not as tough because of my wondeful teammates..though there were hard times but we went through it together..those memorable days. setting off for obs in less than ten hours i shall blog more about my trip when i return BYE!
