I got inspired today by random events. First, the power of unity. How unity can spur one another and stir emotions into humans. Its a really powerful force. Teamwork is something we experience everyday. In school, at our workplace, everywhere. lets keep it short, next point. Politics. Office politics, no matter where you go, its always there. Everyone has flaws, so no matter you think how perfect you are, there'll still be people gossiping about you, so beware and just accept this fact. This is something i've observed but i wont go into details. I just find it amusing. 'Road politics'. Drivers complain about other drivers, saying ' how could he stop in the middle.. cut through the lane.. overtake me.. whatever it is. oh well.. but anyway I received a call to start work next week but i asked instead to start next next week and i'm really regretting it. I just hope they'll call back or i'll call them tmr to say i can start next week regardless of what my boss says! I'm really keen on this job, okay its my second job, admin work though but in my dream company.. its another waiting game..

oh my goodness, i hate doing bar. okay its my first official day in the bar and it got pretty messy and i think my blood pressure shot all the way up that i felt blood gushing towards my head. okay that was when i asserted all my force to scoop the freaking 'iced' cream, and it was 3 scoops please. I was really stressed especially when the orders came in all together and i had to remember the SOP exactly, this first that later, the amount, the glass type and all. Oh man, i was cursing inside the bar can. By 9 i couldn't take it and told my colleague to take over, i prefer to do service. Maybe its the unfamiliarity that's making things difficult. Its fun, yes, but its not when the orders come in together and when i haven't master the technique of steaming milk. That's the irritating part, i'm still depress over the fact that i cant produce good foam. I was hoping for frappes orders but today were lattes and cuppucinos. thank goodness i'm off tomorrow, need to replenish my energy. Lol, and i accidently threw away the shaker cap and ended up rummaging through the bin to retrieve it or boss will sure kill me. Well, things should get better..

Finally i feel at ease after getting my results. I was so depressed the day before and the the day itself. didnt see my name being flashed, no 3 dists. I started to get worried, didnt dare to get my results, but it turned out okay, decent grades, no Cs at least, thank goodness. Glad that my As were subjects related to the courses i want to pursue, heck care about my sciences, i'm not touching them anymore. Right now i don't know where to go. I really like the environment in nus but nbs is a more realistic choice because its a 3 years direct honours. Just hope i can get in there with my grades because i personally feel that its a popular course. I'm happy at work today because.. ha its a secret. lols.

Taiwan is indeed renowned for its food and shopping sprees. Lots of food and shoes especially. Clothes, not so because they're still selling winter wear. We went there on China Airlines and i love being on a plane, you should know why =p. To and fro i've watched quite a few movies, juno, alvin and chipmunks and lust caution which i didnt like it.
The weather there was great, about 18 degrees. On the second day, we had a guide who brought us around some of their historical landmarks which was as usual, boring. We went to jiu fen, which is up in the hills. The layout up there is like our bugis street. In fact all the night markets i've been to are like that. At night, went to shilin and gorged on all the food there. Third day, we roamed around. Sadly, there isnt much to see in the afternoon. Shopping centres are few and far in between, we didnt go to any. We did go to the 101 tower for a while but there's nothing affordable there and i'm not really impressed by the architecture also. So, we took the MRT to danshui, introduced by some passers by we met. Nice beach and sunset there and the same old stalls along the streets. I'm quite impressed by their "ez link" card. It actually looks like a mahjong chip which i think was kind of cool.
So, overall it was not a really nice trip i would say. It was soso, maybe because i had high expectations. To me, the place only consists of night markets, nice food, nice weather. Service there is a nono i would say. Vendors are not really friendly, people knocked into one another as if its a right to. I've been knocked into quite a few times. ''Excuse me'' is absent from their vocabulary as well and hotel greeters are like robots seriously. Their " huan ying guang lin'' is said with no smiles no expressions whatsoever. Their roads are pretty narrow as well. If they're willing to promote good service standards i believe tourists will have a more pleasant trip.
